Marilyn Monroe Dress Auctioned for 2 Million Dollars
The dress worn by the legendary Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch on 14-15 September 1954, was auctioned for $ 2 million dollars the United States. You may remember the iconic photo that shows a white dress was blown off when Monroe standing on a subway grate or subway in one scene of The Seven Year Itch. This photo is among the most famous of the 20th century.
Travilla design dress was sold by actress Debbie Reynolds, along with other memorabilia collection held on 18 June. Time, on Wednesday (01/06/2011), reported Reynolds has more than 3500 artifacts famous movies in the next 50 years.
However, due to economic difficulties, he decided to auction off most of his collection to the highest bidder.
