On Saturday, 25 June 2011, she and her husband arrived in the Irish Guard ceremony. Kate came to the event to give medals to the Regiment of the British army. Prince William is a colonel who led the Irish Guard. So do not be surprised if she came to accompany her husband to attend the event.

Before the event took place, Kate Middleton met privately with families of three soldiers who died on the battlefield. On that event, three soldiers got the Medal Elizabeth cross from Prince William.
